About Karachi Placement Bureau
Karachi Placement Bureau established by the Commissioner Karachi Division is the city’s leading forum, which provides jobs to talented and qualified unemployed youth with the support of Government and private organizations. It is intended to work on a modern MIS platform with digital inputs and online data base access. By making an account on Karachi Placement Bureau website, one can open up vast job avenues for a successful livelihood.
Ideally, the basic concept of Placement Bureau envisions to serves the purpose of both the employers and the job seekers by providing a common platform and bridging the gap between them. Here, the job seekers can create their profiles and upload multiple customized CVs, while the employers can search through the database of thousands of CVs uploaded by the prospective employees.
Karachi Placement Bureau is regularly scrutinized under the Chairmanship of the Commissioner Karachi, Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui that makes it successful, effective and result-oriented. The Placement Bureau is a joint collaboration between the Government and the private sector, the latter is extending their support to make it worthwhile.
Leading from the front as the Face of the Government, the Commissioner Karachi has, on the Government side, representatives from Labour Department, Sports & Youth Affairs Department, Industries Department, Sindh Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (STEVTA), Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Human Resource Research & Development Board (BBSHRRDB), Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) and Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC). On the private side of the table, Federation of Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) represents all the Chambers, Employer’s Federation of Pakistan (EFP) with over 4000 members, various town associations, such as KATI, Landhi Association of Trade & Industry (LATI), North Karachi Association of Trade & Industry (NKATI), SITE Association of Trade & Industry, FB Area Association of Trade & Industry (FBATI), Bin Qasim Association of Trade & Industry (BQATI) and Workers Employers Bilateral Council of Pakistan (WEBCOP). The Commissioner Karachi assures that no CV is left unattended and is timely forwarded to respective organizations. With an existence of such a positive forum to cater the employment needs, Karachiites should become hopeful and confident about their capabilities, and soon anticipate flourishing and productive Karachi.
